【摘要】:Thistestmethodshouldprovideaconsistentapproachbothintermsoftestinsectsandtestproceduresforthegatheringofefficacydataforpediculicides.Datacollectioninthismannershouldbesuitableforproductdevelopmentandcomparison.Inaddition,itshouldbesuitableforreviewbyregulatoryagencies.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheeffectivenessofpediculicidalmaterialsinliquid,gel,orcreamform,againsttheadulthumanlouse,Pediculushumanushumanus,thesurrogatesubspeciesforthehumanheadlouse(P.h.capitis).(Onlygelsorcreamsthatliquefyat32176;C(90176;F)canbetested).1.2Thistestmethodisfortheuseofthosewishingtodevelopefficacydata,ortocompareformulationsforheadlousecontrol.1.3Thistestmethodconsistsoffivereplicatesforastatisticalcomparisonofformulations.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
