【摘要】:Thisguidediscussesoptionsfortakingasubsamplefromasamplesubmittedtoalaboratory.Iffollowed,itwillminimizethebiasandvarianceofthecharacteristicofinterestofthelaboratorysamplepriortoanalysis.Theguidewilldescribeappropriateinstructionstobesubmittedtothelaboratorywiththefieldsample.Thisguideisintendedforuseinthelaboratorytotakearepresentativesubsampleorspecimenofthewholefieldsamplefordirectanalysisorsamplepreparationforanalysis.Itisintendedforfieldpersonnel,datausers,laboratorysamplereceptionpersonnel,analysts,andmanagers.Toobtainarepresentativesubsample,layeranalysis,grinding,mixing,andchangingthephysicalstatesuchasdigesting,drying,meltingorfreezingmayberequired.Thisguideconsidersconeandquartering,rifflesplitting,andparticlesizereduction.1.1Thisguidecoverscommontechniquesforobtainingrepresentativesubsamplesfromasamplereceivedatalaboratoryforanalysis.Thesesamplesmayincludesolids,sludges,liquids,ormultilayeredliquids(withorwithoutsolids).1.2Theproceduresandtechniquesdiscussedinthisguidedependuponthesamplematrix,thetypeofsamplepreparationandanalysisperformed,thecharacteristic(s)ofinterest,andtheprojectspecificinstructionsordataqualityobjectives.1.3Thisguideincludesseveralsamplehomogenizationtechniques,includingmixingandgrinding,aswellasinformationonhowtoobtainaspecimenorsplitlaboratorysamples.1.4Thisguidedoesnotapplytoairorgassampling.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
