【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsarenormallyusedforthefollowingpurposes:4.1.1Toevaluatematerialsandconstructionsforaspecifictypeofcontainer,4.1.2Tocompareperformanceofdifferenttypesofcontainers,4.1.3Todetermineadequacyofprotectionforaspecificproductorapplication,and4.1.4Tomaintainqualitycontrol.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofwatervaportransmissionratesforbulkshippingcontainers,asfollows:1.1.1MethodA,forReclosableContainers,and1.1.2MethodB,forContainersNotDesignedforReclosing.1.2Withineachproceduredetailsaregivenfortheconstantandcyclemethodsoftestatmosphere.1.3Thetestmaybeappliedtothecontaineraspacked,orafteroneormoreperformancetestssuchasdrum(MethodD782),vibration(MethodsD999),drop(TestMethodD5276),impactresistance(TestMethodsD880,D4003,andD5277),orperformancetests(PracticeD4169),asrequired.1.4Forsmallshippingcontainersrequiringgreateraccuracyinweighing,thewatervaportransmissionmaybedeterminedinaccordancewithTestMethodD895orTestMethodD1251.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
